the jobs you qualify for arent based your asvab score it is based on your line scores. you can ask your recruiter for your line score and plug them in to the goarmy career link and pull up ALL of the jobs you qualify for. BUT just because you qualify for a certain job doesnt mean you will get it. its based on whats open at the time you select a job

yea its hard to go from reserve to active so you would be better off just waiting until you graduate or enlist while your still in school and be in DEP until you graduate( reserve a bct and ait date while still in school and ship out for basic training and start your military career after graduation)...

you'd be better off just waiting. because you might cant go active at the time you want too all depends on the business rules at the time most likely. every enlisted soldier tell me "if you want to go active go active" meaning dont do the reserves if you want to go active.

Yes and double yes. If you want to end up in AD, don't bother with USAR. It'll just make life harder.

MP is 31B, but I'm confused on the rest of your choices. Mounted color guard is not an MOS. By JAG, do you mean 27D? "Mechanic" is not an MOS. There are specific types of mechanic MOS, but you'd have to pick one. You cannot just be a "mechanic."

    TigerGirl31,

When you mention Color Guard, are you talking about the 3rd US Infantry Regiment- "The Old Guard"?

27D is one of the MOS's that are listed.

There are certain requirements for The Old Guard.

    Female Height- 5'-8'' minimum

Weight needs to be such that you look exceptional in uniform

    GT Score of 110 minimum

    APFT 250 minimum

    No prior UCMJ Actions.

I served in the Presidential Honor Guard for 2 years, not easy to get into, a great opportunity if you make the cut.

6 feet is not too tall, the 5'-8" was the minimum height.

Ft. Meyers has a great stable, I rode their a few times, beautiful.

Don't give up on The Old Guard, it's quite an experience.
